Summary
Where is South Korea headed? Many Koreans are anxious about the country's future because of the lack of transparency in regards to its political direction and government operations. Unresolved issues of national defense, foreign affairs, and reunification cause confusion, as do unresolved issues in political, economic, social, and cultural sectors. At the heart of this crisis is the lack of a national goal and vision for a reconstructed state. Even if a clear goal and vision were to be proposed, there would be no political system to realize them. For Korea to successfully overcome forthcoming crises and become an advanced, unified state that makes global reaches, it is crucial that we publicize and study strategies for state reconstruction. Hansun Foundation's “Three Strategies for State Reconstruction” is one step in reaching that objective.

The first section discusses the state reconstruction vision of Se-Il Park, the founder and honorary president of Hansun Foundation for Freedom and Happiness. If the 70 years following Korea’s independence was a period of industrialization and democratization, the next 30 years should focus on state reconstruction and reunification, which will result in a country with a world-class economy with competitive income per capita statistics. Korea will become a nation that creates peace in East Asia that contributes to the universal development of humanity. Parts 2 through 4 discuss smart growth, inclusive social development, and sustainability. These sections include articles and summaries from communitarian liberalism seminars.
