History

Take the first step toward the world
The Hansun Foundation, based on Communitarian Liberalism, was founded in September 2006 to contribute to Korea's advancement as a developed country and to work toward reunification of the Korean Peninsula. We seek to move forward, with our nation and history as a center, emphasizing national goals for Korea's advancement. We also seek reunification of the peninsula by transcending political and social factions who may try and obstruct such progress.
Secure a position of an independent private think-tank
As one of the best private think-tanks in Korea, the Hansun Foundation develops and promotes national strategies for Korea's advancement and reunification. In addition, the Foundation performs policy research in sustainable social and economic development. Since 2007, the Hansun Foundation has published the Policy Book Series for Advancement and reports on efforts to have Foundation policy recommendations adopted by Korea's national and local governments. The Hansun Brief, an analysis and proposal periodical providing in-depth reviews of various issues has been consistently published, helping to secure its position as the best think-tank in Korea.
The Hansun Foundation researches not only short-term issues but also long-term national visions and strategies for a reunified Korean peninsula.
Moreover, the Hansun Foundation provides educational programs and leadership training about citizenship and reunification for students, homemakers, and industrial and management workers, as well as others. The goal is to have them engaged in the political process so that they may become leaders of our society and nation.
