Founder & Honorary President
  • Se-Il Park

    Founder & Honorary President
    Se-Il Park was the founder and the first president of the Hansun Foundation (2006-2014). He is currently the honorary president of the foundation, and professor emeritus at Seoul National University. He has been teaching law and economics since 1985 and, led the establishment of the Citizens' Coalition for Economic Justice in 1989. As the head of the Planning and Social Welfare Committee since 1995, he proposed "globalization" as the core rationale and agenda during Young-sam Kim's administration (1993-1995). He promoted the concept as a national strategy and led national reforms in legal, education, and labor systems, as well as welfare and cultural programs. In 2004, he was elected as a member of the 17th National Assembly and chaired the Policy Committee of the Grand National Party. Two years later, he established the Hansun Foundation and has been actively involved in developing national and regional policy, proposing policy measures for advancement and unification ever since.
