After the successful rise of industrialization and the long struggle toward democracy, Korea in 21 century has been experiencing ideological fragmentation, causing political, economic, and social conflicts and confrontations throughout society. In a culture known for its love of harmony, it is disheartening to witness this fraying of our institutions and systems that we worked so hard to establish. In order to heal these wounds in our society and to reorganize as an advanced country, we need to respect both individual liberty and community. Korea desperately needs to build greater harmony. It can do so through a greater understanding of communitarian values, the dignity of individual liberty, and personal and corporate responsibility. To promote these ideals, we hold a weekly program to examine and discuss national, regional, and global issues. All are invited to this free, weekly public program called Communitarian Liberalism Seminars.
