First-Mover Nation of The Fourth Industrial Revolution

  List
Summary

For the last 70 years, South Korea successfully became a highly industrialized and democratic nation by fast-following its predecessors. Now South Korea has to transform into ‘the first-mover nation of the fourth industrial revolution’ that creates new industries, culture, platforms and regulations.

In order to become the first-mover nation, South Korea must cultivate necessary human resources through progressive education and labor reform and construct innovation ecosystem through aggressive government and finance reform. South Korea should no longer insist on anachronistic fast-following national development models. New models that can further develop innovation ecosystem, education, labor, finance and bio-health have to take place.
