The North Korean Policy based on the Sunshine policy has been an overall failure. The Sunshine policy did not contribute at all towards stopping North Korea’s nuclear proliferation and its change (reform opening). Furthermore, if failed to address the humanitarian problems including those of the kidnapped and separates families through North and South cooperation. The Sunshine policy that brought about such gruesome result must be reexamined overall. As a result, this book proposes the necessity of a new North Korean Policy with a new paradigm, analyzing the reason of failure in the Sunshine policy of the past 10 years, along with the 4 principles and basis ideology of the new North Korean Policy.
