The law states that Korea pursues free democracy. But there is no answer to why it does. So this book discusses why unification must come in a free democracy form and notes the limits and problems of peaceful unification and theory of roadmap unification, also providing the philosophical evidence to support that necessity of a value-intended unification. In addition, the book analyzes the unification policies of the presidential candidates and exposes their problems, and reveals the issues of North Korea’s pro-South Korean policy. Unification is surely a hard journey with many sacrifices to be made. But keeping in mind of the urgency and history of the unification, avoiding unification would be ignoring our duties. After all, we need a plan and strategy to pull closer the unification clock by collecting experience and knowledge.
